Gustav Iden, 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Champion, joins the deboer team
deboer wetsuits is thrilled to announce a 3-year partnership with Gustav Iden. Iden seemingly came from nowhere and put on a dominant performance to win the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France. But if you do follow ITU racing then you would be less surprised given the last couple years Iden has been one of the most exciting, dynamic athletes on the ITU start list with multiple World Cups wins and WTS podiums. We are very excited Iden has chosen to swim in the Fjord 1.0 and Flōh 1.0 wetsuits, and Tsunami 1.0 speedsuit.

“deboer wetsuits are superior to every other wetsuit I’ve worn because it’s so flexible in the arms and shoulders you don’t feel like you are wearing a wetsuit. Also it provides a lot of buoyancy through the core to reduce drag so I can swim faster. Right now I am doing 5km swims in my deboer wetsuit, but in the future I imagine I will go much longer because I don’t get tired at all.”
Alex de Boer, co-founder of deboer wetsuits
“We are very excited Gustav has joined the deboer team. On the race course Gustav is relentless, always pushing the pace and always exciting to watch – he is a real racer. Then in his training he is calculated and analytical. We feel like Gustav is just starting to show his true potential and we are honored that he has chosen deboer to help him get there.”
Gustav Iden showcased in Nice the harder the course the better he performs. We are excited to partner with Iden as he continues to push his limits and race against some of the best athletes in the World in pursuit of an Olympic medal and World Championship titles.
