Wells wins at home at Ironman 70.3 Taupo

Hannah Wells continued an impressive 2019 taking the title at Ironman 70.3 Taupo in 4:21:46. Wells overcame early nutritional challenges to swim 26:57, bike 2:24:58, and run 1:24:36. Winning in Taupo was extra special for Wells, a Kiwi, as this is the only professional Ironman 70.3 in New Zealand.

The 2020 Ironman 70.3 World Championship will take place in Taupo, though on a slightly different course, and this title will give Hannah Wells a lot of confidence heading into a World Championship on home soil.
