Most professional triathletes don’t know how age groupers juggle work and training, and most age groupers are in awe of the speed of the professional, and couldn’t image keeping up. Since 2017 Dr. Hannah Wells has balanced competing at the top level of triathlon, while applying her Doctor of Biotech Engineering working as a Research Fellow. Incredibly, Wells has managed to achieve success academically, professionally, and athletically.
Based in Tauranga, New Zealand, in 2019 Wells has been crowned New Zealand Middle Distance National Champion at the Tauranga Half, Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast Champion, and Challenge Wanaka Half Champion. Wells is currently focused on the Half Iron distance, but after experiencing Kona for the sidelines in 2019 is eying her Full Distance debut in the not too distant future.
Hannah is a rising star in the sport, and we are thrilled to have her join the deboer Team.
